There’s something about slowing down, waiting for the right moment, and trusting the process that reminds me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. While digital allows me to document every fleeting second of a wedding day, film invites me to be intentional. Every frame is chosen with purpose, and because of that, each image feels deeply personal.
This spring took me from Alabama to Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Florida and Mississippi, documenting celebrations that were full of emotion, laughter, quiet moments, and everything in between. These photographs are some of my favorite frames from the season, not because they’re technically perfect, but because they feel exactly the way those days felt. I found myself reaching for my film camera more and more this season, and waiting impatiently for scans to come back every weekend.
Film has a way of preserving a wedding differently. The grain, the color, the imperfections, and the anticipation of waiting to see the developed rolls all add to the story. It’s nostalgic without trying to be, timeless without chasing trends, and a reminder that some moments deserve to be remembered exactly as they happened.
