Some love stories don’t need a ballroom, a guest list of 200 people, or an all-day timeline to feel unforgettable.
When Andi first reached out, she knew exactly what mattered most. She wanted a wedding day that felt like them…slow, intentional, and centered around the people and places that meant the most. She also knew she wanted every part of it documented through digital photography, 35mm film, and Super 8, giving their memories a timeless, nostalgic feel.
Their day began at the Pensacola courthouse, where they officially became husband and wife surrounded by the people closest to them. Afterward, we headed to one of their favorite local restaurants, which they had privately rented for an intimate celebration. There were heartfelt toasts, slices of cake, champagne, laughter, and the kind of conversations that remind you what weddings are really about.
From there, we wandered through downtown Pensacola and stopped at the Pensacola Museum of Art. The architecture was stunning, and thanks to the incredibly kind staff, we were even invited inside to create portraits throughout the museum. It became one of those unexpected moments that made the day feel even more personal.
As the evening settled in, we made our way to Fort Pickens National Seashore. With the Gulf stretching behind them, Andi and Travis exchanged private vows, shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and soaked in a quiet moment together before the sun disappeared. It was peaceful, emotional, and the perfect ending to a day that never felt rushed.
Their Super 8 film quickly became one of my favorite films I’ve created this summer. Paired with the softness of 35mm film and the crispness of digital photography, every part of their story feels exactly the way the day felt—honest, nostalgic, and full of emotion.
